Anywhere Aloha, Embodied

I have built a career out of a passion for storytelling in the natural world. My journey has taken me to remote mountain tops, to the middle of the Pacific Ocean, and to remote villages in Uganda. The main consistent thread throughout each step has been integrity for the stories I amplify.

OluKai is a brand that matches much of my driving force: Ohana, Aloha, and Quality. Everything I do is for my family, guided by the Aloha spirit and a commitment to putting out my best effort.

This page is a glimpse at my ability to integrate strategy, storytelling, and ocean culture. It is a curated look at how I have executed exactly that over the past 15 years.

Sharing the Vision

My path has intersected with OluKai and its ambassadors for over a decade. From the early days of the Stand Up World Tour to historic moments at Waimea Bay, here are a few standout pieces that highlight my long-standing commitment to amplifying the voices of the waterman community.

Multi-Channel Strategy and Production Scale

Scaling a brand’s narrative requires more than just a good story; it requires architecture. I specialize in building content models that embrace a ‘create once, publish anywhere’ philosophy, ensuring that a single editorial concept can drive value across written, visual, and social touchpoints.

Destination BC

For the “Four Must-Do Ski Trips in British Columbia” campaign, I wrote the core editorial piece which served as the primary landing page for a targeted seven-figure US winter ad campaign in Washington and California. Recognizing the multi-media potential of the piece, I led the effort to atomize the content for video. I coordinated with our video editors, consulted with the YouTube content lead on optimization, and collaborated with the social media team for distribution. I even leveraged my audio engineering background to record the voiceover myself, ensuring a seamless and authentic brand voice from the written page to the screen.

Lululemon and Subaru: Production Oversight

A successful Content Architect has to understand what it takes to craft a creative strategy into a tangible asset. That asset needs to initiate an emotion or action, and ideally both. I have served as a Field Producer and Sound Mixer on large-scale commercial productions such as Lululemon’s Further and national campaigns for Subaru. These experiences have given me an intimate understanding of high-level production workflows. I am able to collaborate in conjunction with external creative agencies, manage on-the-ground logistics, and ensure that high-budget, multi-channel shoots cross the finish line smoothly (and within budget).

Content Architecture and Performance

Inspiring storytelling is only half the equation. The content engine also has to drive the business. I understand the psychology of the funnel, and how to bridge the gap between an authentic brand narrative and tangible E-commerce results.

Product Storytelling and Conversion

During my four years as a gear editor for publications like The Inertia and Gear Junkie, I evaluated countless outdoor products, including OluKai footwear. That experience honed my editorial eye and taught me how to craft compelling, performance-driven copy. I know how to highlight technical features and premium materials in a way that feels organic to the reader while directly supporting E-commerce conversion and engagement metrics.

Building The Ecosystem

To truly embrace a ‘create once, publish anywhere’ approach, a brand needs solid digital plumbing. In launching and scaling my own ventures [Alpine Islands and Excellent Family Adventures] I did more than create the content. I developed the entire taxonomy from the ground up. I understand what it takes to build scalable frameworks, manage digital assets, establish editorial calendars, and ensure that a brand’s voice remains consistent across websites, social channels, and community platforms.

Rooted in Aloha. Ready to Build.

My career has spanned massive global campaigns and remote coastlines, but my foundation has always been tied to the Pacific. As a USC alum with family in Huntington Beach and years spent immersed in the North Shore community, relocating back to Southern California is a return to my roots, embedded in the sand and swell.

OluKai is doing more than crafting premium footwear; you are stewarding a culture of respect for the ocean and the people who live and breathe Aloha. I am looking for a team where I can build something truly meaningful. By combining the strategic rigor of 7-figure corporate campaigns with a deep, authentic reverence for the waterman ethos, I am ready to help craft the next era of OluKai’s story. I am fully prepared to plant my feet in Irvine and get to work.

Let’s talk story.
